Marcos pardons Mabilog who was linked to illegal drugs by Duterte

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. pardoned former Iloilo City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog, who was linked to the drug trade by the Duterte administration.

In a Viber message to reporters Monday, Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin confirmed reports that Marcos granted executive clemency – presidential pardon, to be exact – to Mabilog.

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has successfully kept a Chinese vessel illegally operating off Zambales from nearing the province’s coastline, as it spotted the “monster ship” a few nautical miles away.

MANILA  – The local stock market shed on profit-taking, while the peso ended weak on Thursday.

In a statement released late Sunday night, the PCG spokesperson for the West Philippine Sea Commodore Jay Tarriela said that despite BRP Cabra’s smaller size, it has prevented the China Coast Guard (CCG) vessel 3103 from advancing closer to Zambales.

US President Donald Trump’s mass deportation policy is now taking effect, with 24 Filipinos deported for alleged involvement in illegal activities in the United States, according to Philippine Ambassador to the United States Jose Manuel Romualdez.

“We have monitored around 24 Filipinos who have been deported from the United States due to their involvement in certain criminal activities, although these were not classified as very serious offenses,” Romualdez said in an interview with dzBB on Sunday.
