Fresh off his historic win as the first Filipino and Asian champion of “The Voice,” Sofronio Vasquez is heading back to his roots.

The Misamis Occidental native is set to hold his debut solo concert in Cebu on Jan. 18, 2025, at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.

Vasquez made the announcement on Facebook, sharing his excitement with fans: “PIT SENYOR! Kitakits mga silingan sa Sugbo!” [See you, neighbors in Cebu!] The show starts at 8 p.m. with ticket prices ranging from P1,300 and P5,000 with meet-and-greet with Vasquez.

Kantar, in its study, noted that seven out of 10 Filipinos were managing their family’s finances by looking for another job or starting a business to increase income.

The post, accompanied by a concert poster from the event’s producer, Paduk Entertainment LLC, encouraged fans to grab their tickets now, available at SM TicketNet and the hotel’s lobby.

Adding to the excitement, Vasquez’s concert coincides with Cebu’s ever-famous Sinulog Festival.

Celebrated every third Sunday of January, Sinulog honors the Santo Niño with grand street parades, cultural performances and religious processions.

This year’s festival officially falls on Jan. 19, making it a weekend of music, culture and celebration for Cebuanos and tourists.

The Filipino singer’s victory earlier this month marked a significant milestone, not only for the Philippines but for the entire Asian music community. Winning “The Voice” has catapulted him into the global spotlight.

Beyond his upcoming Cebu concert, Vasquez is laying the groundwork for an exciting future in music.

In an interview with Yahoo! Entertainment, he shared insights into his ongoing collaboration with Michael Bublé, his coach on The Voice. The Grammy-winning artist has become a mentor and ally, helping Vasquez navigate the music industry and refine his artistic vision.

“Of course, with Michael Bublé’s idea, he knows who are the perfect people to be connected to and to be talking to,” Vasquez revealed in a recent interview with Yahoo! Entertainment.

“I’m going to trust in them, but, of course, I have a really good vision about my music so I’m so excited to be working on that.”
